Nine summers since 1997 have seen the Orchestra make a seven to ten day tour of the Torbay Coast taking in Torquay, Paignton, Brixham, Teignmouth, Dawlish and Dartmouth. The crowds always start from day one and our programme flyer, together with an English Riviera publication of dates, ensures that we are followed throughout. It is also great to see many locals who have followed us since our first appearances in St Marychurch back in 1997, when the Town Crier helped our support of the Victorian market evenings – they were exciting nights!! There’s nothing quite like playing at the seaside, especially on a warm balmy evening.
The photos show the players that have made the each year’s tour so fantastic with highlights at Vaughan Parade, Brixham Quayside, and Royal Gardens Dartmouth. These days we stay at a caravan site in Paignton and the holidays make a special fun break from playing locally and living in large caravans for a few days creates a bond between players that can last for years.
